To The Museum Director\s,
Regarding: A proposal for an exhibition

Dear Sir/Madam

I am an Israeli artist specializing in graphic design with a particular interest in the Jewish Holocaust and have been focusing on this subject for the past 30 years.

I have designed a full series of 18 original graphic posters on this subject that I would be honored to have you display in your museum.

My poster was selected as one of 16 finalists from over 400 entries as part of the "Keeping The Memory Alive"exhibit, marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day, a project of Yad Vashem, the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, and the United Nations, among others. My winning poster- the only Israeli entry among the 16- will be displayed in the UN building in Vienna as well as in government offices in some 80 countries around the world from January 27, 2014.

My graphic works reflect my personal experiences and perceptions both as a combat soldier in the Israeli Defense Force during the Lebanon War in 1982 attempting to stay human in a non-human situation and as an Israeli searching for identity and independence living under constant insecurity in the state of Israel.  The Jewish identity is influenced by art, culture, and international events. My art attempts to to reflect these many factors.

I will forward my printed catalogue upon request if you provide me with the proper contact person and mailing address.

Thanking you in advance for your consideration,

Sincerely,

Ofer Shemesh
